Portland, OR (PRWEB) October 18, 2004 -- Tom Valone, President of Integrity Research Institute (IRI), speaking at the New Energy Movement conference on Sept. 25 in Oregon was a powerhouse of knowledge and facts and gave a thorough overview of where we are currently at with energy needs and where we could go in the future to meet those needs.

His first blockbuster fact caught the audience"s attention immediately; 85% of energy today comes from the combustion of dead fossils, forcing the world"s atmosphere to overheat. We are likely seeing the results of global warming in our weather such as the four hurricanes in Florida.

The most frustrating fact of all, he stated, was that two thirds of all the electricity produced in the US is wasted.

IRI is researching the following energy solutions:
• atmospheric electricity
• nuclear
• quantum vacuum zero point
• space propulsion energy
• magnetic motors

Atmospheric Electricity: Ben Franklin almost had it clear back in the 1700"s. Electrostatic motors have been known about since the beginning of this country. One motor has been operating for eighty-six years and counting. Reference was made to the American Journal of Physics, 1971, pg. 778, regarding the 200 Gigawatt potential in the atmosphere.

The most promising technology has been known about nearly one hundred years: Tesla"s Wardencliff tower and scalar waves. Valone has researchers that have analyzed every part and verified each component of Tesla"s system to broadcast power worldwide. IRI is currently working to rebuild a Wardencliff tower.

Nuclear: Nuclear power is about more than just nuclear power plants. Valone told the NEM audience about nuclear batteries and the work by Betavoltaics and Nuclear Solutions. He mentioned Paul Brown"s patents for extracting energy safely from radioactive materials without nuclear power plants.

A very promising development in the works is the photo-remediation of nuclear waste, and a method of using iodine to produce power. The studies in this field are showing one Megawatt in produces twenty Megawatts out.

Proton – Boron fusion was mentioned, where the reaction between a proton and Boron produces Helium with no radioactivity. Dense plasma is focused in a unique device which produces the 1 billion degrees necessary to make Hydrogen and Boron fuse together into Helium without high energy neutrons being released. A garage-sized fusion reactor would produce energy ten times better than the Tokamak Reactor currently does. (See www.focusfusion.org for more information).

Quantum Vacuum Zero Point: Valone next spoke about the controversial quantum vacuum and zero point energy, pointing out that zero-point energy is NOT conserved. The energy density of zero-point energy is debatable.

Many areas in this field are being studied: the Casimer Force, electron-positron production, electron charge cluster technology, toroidal fields, solid state diodes, and other devices. Electron charge clusters are showing nine times over unity. Electric Arc Discharge Accelerators also have more potential energy out than electrical energy in. We may someday rectify thermo-electric noise with diode circuits

On the positive side of this debate, over unity (and its synonyms) are being mentioned in mainstream literature. Dr. Peter Graneau is getting 150% efficiency outputs and has been published in peer reviewed journals. Pinto actually mentioned "free energy" in his abstract published in Physical Review Rev. B, 60 21, 1999 p. 4457. He uses micro lasers and nanotechnology to get huge improvements in the Casimer force (one Kilowatt per meter squared). Valone further mentioned that Feigle was the first physicist to use ZPE to satisfy energy conservation.

Space Propulsion Energy: Quantumfields.com discusses a hydrodynamic model of vehicle interactions with zero-point energy as it loses its drag at 0 degrees Kelvin. Valone described the works of Paul H. Hill on inertial control, and how the apparent 90 degree right hand turns by UFOs can be explained with knowledge of zero-point energy and inertia. A discussion on space propulsion energy would not be complete without discussing the gravity work of T.T. Brown and John Searl.

Valone briefly mentioned his own past work on homopolar generators, and the current work by Roshin and Godin. He reminded the group that homopolar generators produce a seven degree drop in temperature in the area around the generator.

Magnetic Motors: Valone is currently most interested in a magnetic motor design by South African, Mike Brady. Because he could not find any patent information, he said he supposed the design is public domain. (See freeenergynews.com for more information about Mike Brady). Valone hopes to have his replication of this motor done within a month.

Other magnetic motor designs were covered such as the Hartman Patent #4,215,330, a Spiral Magnetic Motor and a flywheel vehicle power project. He referred to the June 1979 issue of Popular Science and the March 2004 issue of Aviation Week magazines.

Conclusion: Tom Valone, true to his reputation, packed his time with innovative developments in the energy field. He made the point well that there is no reason to depend so heavily on fossil fuels; from Franklin to Tesla we have had all the technology we need. With new inventions there are even fewer excuses. The travesty is the global warming we are now experiencing, because of fossil fuels, has been unnecessary.

The borrowing by Congress to fund their immoral and unconstitutional wars, UN dues, 18% of the IMFs budget, billions in corporate welfare, trillions in foreign "aid," all these social welfare programs and basic government functions continues to rack up debt at a rate of $1.69 BILLION dollars a day from an empty treasury. Americans are listening to the wrong people about the economy, specifically John Kerry and George Bush, Jr. They constantly talk about our strong economy, how many jobs they will create and how many trillions of dollars they will spend promising the moon to the mob at every campaign stop. This is not unusual. In the last weeks of the 2000 election, Marxist Al Gore, his paid mouthpieces and the great programmer's (TV) high paid experts, were all chanting that Bill Clinton's administration brought America the strongest economy in 50 years. As soon as Gore conceded, the politicians and media began telling everyone Bush is facing a recession and it would be his greatest challenge!

In roughly 34 days, America went from riches to rags . Amazing! But, the signs of an economy in trouble were already there during the Clinton administration and the stress began to emerge: On December 5, 2000, Montgomery Wards, after 75 years in business, announced they would close their doors forever, shutting down 250 stores and 10 distribution centers nationwide. This doesn't happen overnight to a big company like Wards, it takes years. On January 5, 2001 Sears Roebuck announced the closing of 89 stores.

These two retailers had been major staples of America's retail landscape. Thousands of employees were thrown out of work. Consider the trickle-down effect: truckers for both companies would no longer travel, buy gas or have those trucks maintained. Loss of dollars for businesses on their routes. Employees from those two conglomerates end up on unemployment and many on welfare when they couldn't find jobs and their unemployment ran out. Loss of dollars for all ranges of businesses in their local areas. This type of financial deterioration takes years to hit the boiling point.

On December 25, 2000, the business section of the Sacramento Bee has finally exposed something few care about: The utter and complete devastation of our steel industry because of NAFTA & GATT. LTV Corporation, the No. 3 U.S. steel company in America filed for bankruptcy protection, blaming unfair imports for driving steel prices to 20-year lows. The meltdown begun when NAFTA was signed into law in January 1995 continues destroying our critical job bases. We will see more of this meltdown escalate because of these unconstitutional, destructive, global trade treaties.

June 30, 2004 Associated Press: "U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donohue announced more plans to promote the offshore outsourcing of jobs as a means of boosting the economy and even increasing employment --Donohue believes exporting high-paid tech jobs to low-cost countries such as India, China and Russia saves companies money that they may use to create new jobs for Americans....CEOs from Wall Street to Silicon Valley have embraced the theory, and the pace of offshoring has shocked statisticians and economists."

That's good for America, right? What bunk. Shipping American jobs overseas to increase the bottom profit line for stockholders is killing the middle class. The above referenced article had more good news for stockholders: "The job outlook in the San Francisco Bay area is particularly bleak. Probably the most revealing comment in the same article came from Forrester Research Inc., analyst John McCarthy when he said, "Endlessly debating whether off shoring is good or bad is pointless -- like debating whether you've had a good trip on the Titanic while the iceberg comes into view....For the unemployed guy to accept these business leaders position is like believing Dick Nixon saying, 'Trust me, I'll take care of it all, things will be fine.'"

Working against American interests

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is rabidly anti-American and every single independent business owner in this country should walk away from that organization. The coming financial crisis that can't be stopped

Make no mistake about it: there is a financial crisis coming that can't be stopped unless drastic measures are taken in the next couple of years. Iran heaps scorn on UK after 'spy tunnel' find

IRANIAN newspapers have long poured scorn on the debauchery and deviousness of the British Foreign Office.

But now the criticism has been cranked up further with the alleged discovery of a secret tunnel used to sneak "spies and prostitutes" into the British embassy in Tehran.

The passage was been uncovered by workmen, according to reports.

Labourers digging foundations for a carpet shop opposite the embassy on an avenue in the heart of the capital stumbled across what was described as a "huge" underground passageway.

A blogger who used to work at the embassy was reported as saying: "The British embassy is using the tunnel for the comings and goings of spies linked to the embassy, and prostitutes."

Raja News, a website close to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the hardline president, ran the story. Iran's state-run radio broadcast a similar report, brief but excitable, and urged listeners to remain tuned in for further revelations.

The lurid accusations will sound ludicrous to Western ears, less so to many Iranians who are steeped in the history of British imperial meddling in Iran during the 19th and 20th centuries. Many still view Britain as perfidious Albion.

The allegations of spying tunnels come at a tense time in relations between Tehran and London, which is backing US calls for further punitive sanctions aimed at halting Iran's nuclear programme. Protesters in June sabotaged the British diplomatic event of the year by heckling Iranians attempting to attend the annual Queen's Birthday party at the embassy.

Of the 1,500 guests invited, only 200 made it inside the British compound, an oasis of green tranquillity on Ferdowsi Avenue.

Some had been warned not to attend while those who did were videotaped and photographed on the way in and out. Islamic students in black shirts threw eggs and paint at arriving guests, calling them dirty Iranians for being willing to eat the birthday cake of the "Queen of Lies".

The function coincided with the announcement of Salman Rushdie's knighthood. That provoked a furious outcry among Iranian hardliners who rounded on the Queen.

One hardline newspaper suggested that the "English hag" was seeking a smokescreen for the loss of Empire by knighting the novelist.

The latest allegations of spying and sexual licence at the British embassy appear part of a campaign to prevent Iranians having contacts with Britons and other foreigners. By curtailing direct contacts, hardliners make it more difficult for British diplomats to take the country's pulse.

When in 1994 Iran claimed a listening device was found in the wall of its embassy in London, Britain was denounced as the "land of spies and pirates".

U.S. Backs Free Elections, Only to See Allies Lose

Political analysts believe that Amin Gemayel, shown on a campaign banner, lost the election to fill his son’s seat in Parliament because his party, the March 14th coalition, is strongly supported by Western governments.

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates Aug. 9 — Lebanon’s political spin masters have been trying in recent days to explain the results of last Sunday’s pivotal by-election, which saw a relatively unknown candidate from the opposition narrowly beat a former president, Amin Gemayel.

There has been talk of the Christian vote and the Armenian vote, of history and betrayal, as each side sought to claim victory. There is one explanation, however, that has become common wisdom in the region: Mr. Gemayel’s doom seems to have been sealed by his support from the Bush administration and the implied agendas behind its backing.

“It’s the kiss of death,” said Turki al-Rasheed, a Saudi reformer who watched last Sunday’s elections closely. “The minute you are counted on or backed by the Americans, kiss it goodbye, you will never win.”

The paradox of American policy in the Middle East — promoting democracy on the assumption it will bring countries closer to the West — is that almost everywhere there are free elections, the American-backed side tends to lose.

Lebanon’s voters in the Metn district, in other words, appeared to have joined the Palestinians, who voted for Hamas; the Iraqis, who voted for a government sympathetic to Iran; and the Egyptians, who have voted in growing numbers in recent elections for the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. “No politician can afford to identify with the West because poll after poll shows people don’t believe in the U.S. agenda,” said Mustafa Hamarneh, until recently the director of the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan. Mr. Hamarneh is running for a seat in Jordan’s Parliament in November, but he says he has made a point of keeping his campaign focused locally, and on bread-and-butter issues. “If somebody goes after you as pro-American he can hurt you,” he said.

In part, regional analysts say, candidates are tainted by the baggage of American foreign policy — from its backing of Israel to the violence in Iraq. But more important, they say, American support is often applied to one faction instead of to institutions, causing further division rather than bringing stability.

“The Americans think that supporting democracy should create positive reactions,” said Nicola Nassif, a columnist with the left-leaning Lebanese daily Al Akhbar. “No one can be against democracy, sovereignty, independence and freedom. But not if it upsets the internal power balance, not if it empowers one party against the other, especially in a country where supporting one group can lead to violence and even civil wars.”

Arab liberals who have embraced America continue to see their influence fade in the region, as more conservative and Islamist forces continue to rise, Mr. Rasheed said. Voters invariably frown on strength coming from abroad, he said; the only legitimate sources of strength any Arab politician can turn to is based on either tribal power or religious ties.

“Last Sunday we saw that even if you are a former president running for a seat in Parliament, in a small area where everybody knows you, you can’t make it either with American support,” Mr. Rasheed said.

For much of the past year, Lebanon has been caught in a major confrontation between the American-backed March 14th movement, which helped force Syria out of Lebanon in 2005 and won a parliamentary majority that year, and the Iranian- and Syrian-backed opposition movement led by Hezbollah and Gen. Michel Aoun’s Free Patriotic Movement.

Sunday’s vote was widely seen as a bellwether for the country’s political leanings in that confrontation.

Lebanon’s Christians are generally more sympathetic to the United States than are other Arabs. But the tension between Prime Minister Fouad Siniora’s American-backed faction against an Iranian-backed one was palpable in last Sunday’s election.

And despite an expected sympathy vote — Mr. Gemayel was running to fill the seat vacated by the assassination of his son Pierre — and the former president’s name recognition, Lebanese Christians in the mountainous Metn region, along with a smattering of Shiites and others who live there, voted for the more unlikely team: one allied to Hezbollah, seemingly sympathetic to Iran and Syria, and most of all, in opposition to America.

“Our problem with March 14th is not that they are aligned with the U.S., but it is their policies,” says Alain Aoun, a nephew of General Aoun, who says American support has magnified tensions while emboldening the ruling majority to resist compromises. “We call on the U.S. to learn from this experience; they should not take part in any internal conflict or take sides. They should support all Lebanese.”

The problem is not necessarily the support itself, Mr. Nassif said, but that it invariably skews conflicts, worsening rather than easing sectarian and ethnic tensions.

“When the U.S. interferes in favor of one party, their interference leads to an explosion,” he said. “The U.S. openly says it supports the Siniora government, but it should say we support the Lebanese government.”

There was, however, one American intervention that did work in Lebanon, Mr. Nassif notes.

“In 1958 when the U.S. interfered militarily in Lebanon, it said it was to help Lebanon regain stability,” he said, speaking of President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s decision to deploy 14,000 men to shore up the government of President Camille Chamoun and open the way for his successor, Gen. Fuad Chehab. The intervention is credited with preventing the Syrian and Egyptian governments from destabilizing the country.

“Chehab was soon after elected, and no one protested their presence here; a few months later they withdrew,” Mr. Nassif said of the American forces. “In 1982, they interfered militarily again and it ended in a disaster. They supported Israel and Gemayel against the Palestinians, who were supported by Lebanese parties.”
